About
First Steps is a purpose-built nursery based in the local Children’s Centre in the inner-city area of Derby. We have three rooms: Sunflower for children aged 4 months to 2 years, Poppy for those aged 2 to 3, and Bluebell for those aged 3 to 4. We have a lovely outdoor space for children to be active and engaged in the world around them and we encourage their curiosity through fun and interactive learning areas.

We pride ourselves on our ability to provide all children with excellent care and education delivered by a friendly, committed and highly qualified team of staff. We strive to ensure all of our children are happy, confident and resilient. We have funded places plus fee paying full and half day care.
