- 65g Wholemeal Flour
- 20g Oats
- 20g Vegetable Oil Spread
- 20g Soft Brown Sugar
- 1 x 400g can, drained Canned Fruit Cocktail (in juice)
- 335g Custard
Preheat your oven to 190c/170f Fan or Gas Mark 5.
Line a baking tray with baking parchment or greaseproof paper.
Place the flour and oats into a large bowl, add the spread and rub using your fingertips.
Add the sugar and stir together, tip onto a baking tray and spread into an even layer, cook for 10 – 15 minutes, then leave to cool.
Layer the fruit and custard, followed by fruit and then custard again, leave to cool in the fridge.
Sprinkle the fruit and custard layers with the crumble topping.
Serving suggestion: Use different fruits to vary colour, tastes and texture
Infants from 10 mths to all ages, typical portion size: 30g fruit plus 50g custard
Recipe adaptation: for babies under 12 months, serve the drained fruit cocktail with a portion of custard.
